ABOUT ME

From a young age, I've known that I enjoy teaching, writing, drawing and learning as much as possible. When I was little I used to watch my Granny paint with Bob Ross. Back in 2017 I decided to just start! Now I own J.Lynn Art Co.

I love sharing with others how they can aspire to something greater, take steps towards the dreams they have, and point people towards hope.

My husband and I have been married for 17 years! We were high school sweethearts. We have three children. I hope this is a space for you to be inspired. That it would encourage you to write down your own dreams or pick up a brush!

BEAUTY FROM ASHES

"My journey through infertility has felt so dark at times. It's like a wildfire with a miscarriage, and out of control within foster care. The dreams of having a family seemed to slowly burn away like a campfire at the end of the night, with the hot embers still glowing..."

IN THE WAITING

"What I didn’t realize was that God was orchestrating a series of movements that would get me to say “yes” to three beautiful kiddos in foster care. This all happened just a few months after our miscarriage..."

PERFECTION

"One of my deepest struggles I have to consistently take to God is how I look, or how I am seen by other people. I want to blend in. I want to be shorter. I want to be thinner. I want to be quieter. I want people to like me… "no, be honest here Jess"…I want everyone to like me. I don't like disappointing people. I want perfection. Yet, this isn't what God calls from us at all..."

BOBA CAFE GETTING NEW MURAL

Local artist Jessica Seelye and Boba Cafe co-owner Ashley Jones pose with the beginning of a new mural painted on the north side of the cafe (facing the Public Square). Jones said this picture – the state of Indiana with a heart over Shelbyville that reads “Sweet! You’re here!” – is just the beginning of the mural and more will be added to it in the coming weeks.
